Did you know that the indigenous people danced together with the convicts of the First Fleet?  Not only did the early colonists write about this occurring, William Bradley captured one such event in his 1788 journal A Voyage to New South Wales which is now held in the State Library of NSW. http://archival.sl.nsw.gov.au/Details/archive/110316551

English Country Dancing is joyous, lively movement to elegant music in a friendly, informal setting. The figures are simple, and each dance is taught and walked through.   It is the most social and democratic of dance forms. Come along to our dance in the air-conditioned Samford Farmers Hall and try it yourself!  New dancers are always welcome. Come alone or with a friend.
