Let us engage in spirited conversation, partake in the most agreeable dances, and delight in the company of dear friends and charming acquaintances.
A light supper will be served to enhance our delightful gathering.
Our hall is graced with the modern marvel of air conditioning, ensuring a most pleasant atmosphere for our esteemed guests.
Attire: Regency dress is most warmly encouraged, to truly embody the elegance of the period.
Music shall be graciously provided by our esteemed band, Phillip’s Dog. All dances will be elegantly instructed during the evening; however, it would be of great advantage if you might attend a class prior to the celebration. Be so good as to examine the information that follows.

Regency dance classes

Do join us for a class in the elegant art of Regency dance, wherein you shall acquire the requisite steps for the forthcoming ball, or merely indulge in a delightful sample of the style.

Venue: The Hills District Community Hall, 291 Dawson Parade, Arana Hills.

Jane Austen was born on December 16, 1775. This year marks the 250th anniversary of her birth, and it’s being celebrated with events and activities throughout 2025. Join us for our own very special event!
Step into the captivating realm of Jane Austen and envision yourself in the early Australian colony, where the dances of her time come to life. Join us for a delightful evening of Regency dancing at the historic Dayboro Community Hall, where you can experience the charm and elegance of this enchanting era.
Dance to the delightful tunes played by Australia’s finest historical dance band, Phillip’s Dog. Don’t worry if you’re new to these dances, as Dr Heather Blasdale Clarke, a renowned dance historian and teacher, will be there to guide and instruct you throughout the night. Get ready to twirl and sway to the rhythms of the past in this unforgettable event.
